Two cups of tea
A blink
And a whisper...
It falls
A drop of the sky's broken heart
Into my half filled glass....
As I wait into the night
Staring at your memory
Sitting beside me...
It's mossy now
The greyness
Of this empty bench stone...
Yet my face warms up
Your steaming breath
I inhale, with wisps of caffeine...
Enough. A cigarette
To choke down little lives
Crystallized with the sugar
That line the rim of your cup...
I walk away
While your glass
Stares at my back...
Cause even when you're alone
You always have to pay.
For two.
